Stillness is the practice that nobody photographs. It refuses to perform. It refuses, most days, to feel like anything at all. That refusal is the point.

Sit. Notice the rooms in the body that are louder than the room you’re in. The neck. The jaw. The small machine behind the eyes. Do not fix them. Notice.
What it isn’t
Stillness is not rest. Rest is what the body does after work. Stillness is what the attention does before it agrees to work at all.
